The Town Hall Cultural Centre and Museum

Since the closure of the Museum on Church street in 2019, the Isles of Scilly Museum Association have been working in partnership with the Isles of Scilly Council to create a new home for the Museum. This project in now reaching fruition and will see the Town Hall on St Mary’s transformed as the Isles of Scilly Cultural Centre and Museum. A first round of Trustees have been appointed and we will shortly be moving into the delivery phase.

We are continuing to appoint more Trustees to help bring new thinking, views and experience into the organisation. We are particularly keen to invite more local people to apply.

MUSEUM ON THE MOVE is a response to the closure of the Church Street Museum in 2019 and was funded by Coastal Communities through Cornwall Museums Partnership and the European Regional Development Fund.

Our archives held at Porthmellon Enterprise Centre are open to the public. Please contact us to book an appointment.
